Soooo I'm in Humanities, and as I have to turn in journals for that class too (those have to be really serious...:p) I realized I hadn't posted much here in a while
Rehearsals....are hitting that rough tedious bit of ALL choreography drills ALL the time, with a few singing intervals here and there
But we're blocking today, so it shall be better, I'm convinced
Our cast is enough to make up for tedious choreography days
Not that I don't love the dances or songs or Jonathan, it justs grows tiring and monotonous after a full week of it
Playing a boy is EXHAUSTING. Not only do I have to wear pants (ickk!?!), I have to be aware of my walk (very girly) my voice (rather girly) and my posture (hip slouchy)
I'm just excited to move on from the same 3-4 songs that we've been focusing on
And see this play come together
in very very very little time
We're quite behind...!?!
We'll see how it goes

I am PSYCHED about tomorrow! Not only is it the Inauguration (!!!!!!) but we have REHEARSAL I haven't been this excited for rehearsal since MCM, I just adore small casts.
And the show is really shaping up, I've almost completely learned my dance, and we've learned all the songs except for the bows and the sortod remade rhythmic Book Report (I wonder how that'll go...).
This is by far my favourite musical! We're all relatively close so we just sortof laugh it off when we hit random bad notes or suck at things, none of that gossippy silent judgy crap you get with big casts. We sounded way louder last time, so perhaps they won't confiscate our microphones like they threatened to (like they'd really do that...hahahahahaha....hahaha....ha!?).
We're all moderately obsessed with Jonathan, our amazing choreographer, whose really patient with our combined lack of dance skills.
We start BLOCKING tomorrow~ YAY
Hurray for Obama + CB
Partayyyy!

So 2nd post of this semester!! (technically dec. 19 was past the marking period, and I already had like 17 posts, so that def. counted!!)
My gov school audition was today and I am vanquished. Audition process takes enough out of you without the crazy dance section. Which was basically the same routine as last year, with added leaps, kicks and spins. It was pretty fun and I didn't go over or screw up, and a judge actually laughed at the humorous parts (like, legit laugh, not fake laugh for encouragment or laughing at my inability or anything). So perhaps I maybe have a chance....we'll see. I was different from last year, the room was smaller, the judges were closer, so I could speak in a slightly softer tone that worked for my second piece. It was like a very small classroom/conference room with dimmer, mood lighting esque lighting, which was nice. I just want to hear from them and let it be over with.
Rehearsals.....are interesting. We were all doing superbly well until thurs. when we all sortof fell apart on some songs, although my song felt fine. My voice was shaky on the first few, likely cause I was overtired, hungry and taking stupid stupid shallow breaths, but everyone else sounded just as weak. It was rough, and Mrs. Millen threatened to revoke our microphone privileges if we continue to sound like meek 3 year olds. I'm too girly, so I have to wear pants to every rehearsal from now on....do I even own pants?!
Oh well. Reheasals went fine until then, I love the cast, all our random inside jokes, and the fact that we have random inside jokes already. I do really like the show, especially since I argued my song back (YES!!! victory!!). I'd ramble more, but I'm making less and less sense and I need to save some ramble for future entries :]
