soo...I LOVE GLEE!
That's theatre related?
I guess I enjoy it for many many reasons...
1. I LOVE shows that involve singing
2. I love a cappela covers of popular songs
3.Rachel Berry. The little drama queen/diva. Lea Michelson from Spring Awakening. Talented, and I empathize (not the talented part....the DIVA part).
4. Exaggerated yet still believable characters....I was leery about watching a FOX series and had pitifully low expectations, but Glee far surpassed them
5.Michael Morrison. is. delish.
6. The parody racial slurs and forced political correctness, but the show still has to be politically correct in its own right. love it.
Anand Patel, MUS junior, is starting a SMS-MUS-Hutch show choir! Hope to join it....

Hmmmmmm.....I guesss.....Thespian Conference?
Okay, when I attend Advisory Board meeting, or hang out with AJ or other Theatre friends, I frankly feel like a moron. The room is always abuzz with talk of newcoming Broadway musicals, everything this and that public school is doing, all this information that I never fail to be out of the loop on.
How does everyone know this? Why am I not a more active member of Memphis theatre circles?
I wish there was a publication for memphis theatre teens, or something to prevent from asking "....wait, what's 9 to 5?" or "Wait....Spring Awakening isn't on Broadway anymore?"
Or perhaps I wish I were less busy, and had more free time to devote to theatre.
And it doesn't look as if its going to improve any....I casually mentioned participating in theatre in college, not majoring or anything, just participating, and predictably, my father exploded.

man oh man. I thought I had posted at least 3 since the beginning of the year....nope!
I suppose I hallusinated it. Whoopsies
So, now I have to write 15? Fun times. I guess I'll just blog about random little threatre related thoughts. I have been somewhat involved, I just never got around to this whole blogging business. hmm......what to write about
